The 2019 Wisconsin State Competition was held on March 16th at UW-Stout in Menomonie, WI.
In Division B, Hamilton Middle School won a 10th consecutive state title, winning a record 16 gold medals in the process. Boyceville Middle School finished as runner-up for the first time in school history, ending a streak of 4 consecutive runner-up finishes by Menomonie Middle School, who finished third.
In Division C, Madison West High School won a 2nd consecutive state title, winning a record 13 gold medals in the process. Their score of 55 was also the lowest recorded score at the Division C tournament since Wisconsin began scoring 23 events in 2013. Despite this, they were trailed closely by Menomonie High School, who finished as runner-up for a third consecutive year and medaled in all 23 counted events, and Marquette University High School, who repeated their third-place finish from 2018 and medaled in 22 counted events. The three powerhouse schools combined for 21 gold, 18 silver, and 13 bronze medals. Boyceville High School, who earned their 5th consecutive fourth-place finish, was more than 100 points behind Marquette. The tournament also generated controversy as Madison West was initially disqualified in Aerial Scramble (which would have made Menomonie state champion), but this disqualification was later reversed.
