The 2021 Wisconsin State Competition was held on April 17th. It was run in the Satellite SO format, but also allowed students unable to make it to their schools to compete from home. The tournament featured 28 competitive events in both divisions including 6 Wisconsin-only events in the Division B tournament and 7 Wisconsin-only events in the Division C tournament. Additionally, 3 trial events were run in each division. In both divisions, teams were able to choose 5 events ahead of time that would not count towards their team score. There were no regionals in Wisconsin in 2021, so all teams automatically qualified for the state tournament. Exhibition (JV) teams and audited events did not displace other teams. The winners of each tournament qualified for the 2021 National Tournament.
