At the Division B state tournament James Madison Middle School won the state tournament title for the first time in school history. Morse Middle School finished as the state runner-up for the third time in school history. Platteville Middle School earned the third place trophy for the first time in school history.

At the Division C state tournament Madison West High School won their second consecutive state tournament title. Washington Park High School earned the state runner-up trophy for the second consecutive year. Rufus King High School finished as the third place team for the third consecutive year.

The top two teams in Division B and the top team in Division C qualified for the 1993 National Tournament.

There were no regional tournaments for Division B in Wisconsin until 2010.

There were no regional tournaments for Division C in Wisconsin until 2004.
