Emmaus High School is a Division C team that competes in the Central East region of Pennsylvania. They have placed in the top 10 in the state twice in their history. Their primary rivals are Parkland High School and Allentown Central Catholic High School.
History
Emmaus's team was founded in the 2006-07 season. They qualified for states in their first year of competition after placing 5th at regionals. They then won the regional championship in 2008, their second season of competition. To date, this remains their only regional title.
Though they did not win the region in either 2009 or 2010, these in fact marked Emmaus's best performances at states. They placed 7th and 8th, respectively.
From 2011 to 2019, Emmaus endured a competitive lull, not qualifying for states during this time. In general, they remained in the top half of the region, usually finishing 11th or better, but they were always 3 or more places away from states. That changed in 2021, when they qualified for states out of the Northeast Regional (the Central East was not held). In 2023 and 2024, they returned to states by qualifying out of the Central East regional, including a 3rd-place finish in 2023, which is their best regionals finish since their early peak.
