Missouri Region 5 is a regional tournament for the state of Missouri that serves the central region of Missouri including Columbia and Rolla. It is hosted by the Missouri University of Science and Technology (Missouri S&T, formerly known as University of Missouri-Rolla). Alan Pringle was the tournament director of this region for many years, and two 100 dollar scholarships were given out to the winners of Battery Buggy and Mousetrap Vehicle at the 2018 Missouri State Tournament in his name.
