The South Shore Invitational, also known as South Shore Seawolves, was a middle school invitational hosted by Stony Brook University and Islip High School at Islip Middle School in the 2018 season. Its name is derived from the Seawolf, the mascot of Stony Brook University.
The South Shore Invitational was not run in 2019 onwards, as it was merged with the Long Island Invitational, becoming one competition with two divisions. Members of Stony Brook Science Olympiad continue to assist in running LISO.
