Not to be confused with Mary K. Masterson Memorial Spirit Award.

The Lockheed Martin Spirit Award is awarded at each National Tournament to the team "that best exemplifies good sportsmanship, team collaboration, and school spirit." It is voted on by a ballot of event supervisors, and possibly others, and is based on the school's general sportsmanship and spirit throughout the tournament. It is one of the oldest special awards in Science Olympiad.
