Randolph School is an independent college preparatory school located in Huntsville, Alabama. Randolph has competitive Science Olympiad teams in both Divisions B and C, which attend the State Competition on a regular basis. In Division C, Randolph has won 6 of the last 9 State Championships.

Background

Science Olympiad at Randolph is exclusively extracurricular. Randolph's success is attributed to the school's rigorous science curriculum, supportive coaching, and dedicated students. Randolph has never offered Science Olympiad as a class, and all teams are student and volunteer run. Randolph regularly fields 2-3 teams for the Regional Competition held at at The University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH). Teams are chosen based on results from past years and performances on evaluation tests. It is common for all students to help each other prepare for the competition, regardless of team or individual events. Some Upper School students also volunteer to work with Middle School students after school and on the weekends.
