Happy-the-puppy, also known as Bob (Not his real name), is currently in 8th grade and goes to FSA. He started Scioly because math olympiad got boring, and he somehow managed to stop procrastinating in his first year to make the A team. As a fairly clumsy person, he has either broken or been slightly hurt by build events (Storm the Castle & Wheeled Vehicle) multiple times. He loves STC but hates WV because he has to count. Bob swims on his swim team (although he sucks), plays golf, likes basketball, codes from time to time, and reads. He also plays Minecraft but is bad. He likes Biology, Engineering, and some parts of physics. He does Model UN too and if you want any pointers just Dm him on discord. Discord: tba

Division A, third Grade

This year was Bob's first year in Scioly, but he doesn't count it as he didn't know anything and only did one event: Barge Building. His school (Not FSA), attended one competition the whole year and got 19th out of 36. Not much to say about this, so it isn't counted in his scioly years.

7th Grade, Division B (Why did I say so much)

Because math olympiad wasn't that good, bob's parents told him to join Scioly. He applied but was scared of not getting in as over 120 people applied, but somehow, his coach read his application and let him in. The previous year, when he announced his decision to do Anatomy in scioly, all his classmates who had done Anatomy earlier laughed (fr), saying he had no chance of team one. Thankfully, in the previous year, anatomy people had left, and he only had to compete against Hedge (who supported him) and some other people. This was really fun, and Bob tryharded his way to team A for Anatomy. Bob also did other events like STC, in which he worked with Derivative. Derivative did literally all the work, and he deserves all the credit (along with his Dad, who thankfully put up with Bob's clumsiness.) He occasionally did wheeled vehicle when Hedge or Derivative weren't free. Bob really liked the Life Science events and did disease detectives (although he began to hate it) and Bio-Proccess Lab. He really loved BPL but had to drop it at states and nats because Derivative could only do STC in BPL's time block :( The final two events Bob did were Fast Facts, which he somehow did ok till nats where he died because of geology. Bob also did CTW but never attended the classes and was a sub for the event. He got one medal because his partner hard carried him. VEURYX may have a nats (second place CTW) medal, but Bob still has more CTW 1st place medals (1) than her and annoys her by flexing it. Overall, this year was an amazing introduction to scioly and Bob learned so much from his teammates. I thank Hedge, Derivative, Derivative's dad, our coach, and everyone else who helped me in my first year in scioly.

2023 Nats Nightmare

Bob hates Missouri. So does everyone else on the FSA nationals scioly team (except maybe hedge who enjoyed the trip back very much). The bus broke down at 3 AM in Missouri and Potasisum woke up. It was stuck there till 12:00 pm when we finally got a tow to a place to eat lunch. Then, another bus arrived and it took us all the way to Kansas but broke down again the second after dropping us off. Bob made some dumb mistakes on that trip and broke Notaval's straw in his soda somehow. Notaval was very annoyed and got mad at Bob, but Bob thinks they're ok now.

Nats itself was ok except for the Anatomy test, which was much hated by everyone who laid eyes on it (After 2024 im sensing a theme). STC was also good, except for making us use zip ties, which reduced our score :( I did not have good placements, but it is ok. It was raining the whole time and that was very bad for builds and for Bob & friends who had to run all around campus.

On the trip back the bus that was supposed to pick us up broke down so they had to send a smaller one. We switched buses on the Misery border, and we finally made it back to home.

2023-24 8th Grade

Nationals this year was a rollercoaster of emotions and what I believe to be a bittersweet ending to my MS scioly career. I thoroughly enjoyed the trip this time and will have the memories for ages. The Michigan campus, while not the most beautiful, was intriguing, and I enjoyed visiting the stem expo. In regards to tests this year, I felt disappointed with anatomy due to the quality and loved all my 3 other events. Fossils was the most fun event I competed in this year and the fossils at nationals were extremely impressive. Fast Facts was easy, and I believe it shows how scuffed the event is given that I did not study (genuinely, I didn't study at all) all year for this event. Somehow, I still got 12th, making me hate the idea of this event even more. I realized that I could have gotten a fossils medal if I printed out a page that I thought I wouldn't need for one of the stations :(. I FINALLY GOT A MEDAL THO. OPTICSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS. We had a nearly perfect laser shoot, and my partner and I worked amazingly on the test. It is funny to think that I probably could have gotten first if I decided to print the LEXSO answer key the night before, but I am content with the 5th place medal.

I have learned so much this year and as I go onto the HS division I would like to entend a heartfelt thanks to all my former FSA coaches for their valiant efforts in fostering my love for scioly. Furthmore, I'd like to especially thank Hegde for asking our coach to put me on anatomy in 7th grade, making my passion for it blossom exponentially.

Some parts of nationals I disagreed with/though could be made better and I hope to volunteer with Scioly in the future and throughout div D to make sure everyone has an amazing anatomy national tournament and optics as well!
