Kane Area Middle School is a Division B team that competes in the Northwest region of Pennsylvania. They experienced a period of great success in the late 1990s and early 2000s, when they qualified for the national tournament twice.
After 2004, their run of success came to an end, as they began to struggle to advance beyond regionals. However, after a 14-year wait, Kane Area made a return to states in 2018. They did not compete in 2023 or 2024, but returned to competition in 2025 and qualified for the 2025 Pennsylvania State Tournament.
