Franklin Regional Middle School is a Division B school which competes in the Southwest Pennsylvania regional competition. They regularly qualify for the state competition, and have placed 2nd in the region for ten years straight.
Franklin Regional Middle School feeds into Franklin Regional High School, which also regularly competes at the state finals.
History
Franklin Regional began competing in 1988, and from then until 1994, Franklin Regional competed at the Western Regional. They qualified for the state tournament in each of these seven seasons, including two regional championships and two third-place finishes at states.
Franklin Regional has qualified for every state tournament since 2005. This time frame includes eleven separate second-place finishes at the Southwest regional tournament. They have also placed in the top 20 at states every year during this time, with their best finishes coming at the 2016 and 2017 Pennsylvania State Tournaments (5th place).
