== History ==
Franklin Regional began competing in 1988, and from then until 1994, Franklin Regional competed at the [[Northwest Pennsylvania Regional#Western Regional|Western Regional]]. They qualified for the state tournament in each of these seven seasons, including two regional championships and two third-place finishes at states.
 
Franklin Regional has qualified for every state tournament since 2005. This time frame includes eleven separate second-place finishes at the Southwest regional tournament. They have also placed in the top 20 at states every year during this time, with their best finishes coming at the [[2016 Pennsylvania State Tournament|2016]] and [[2017 Pennsylvania State Tournament]]s (5th place).
