The Wilmington Regional (also known as Region 3 in previous years) is one of the largest regional tournaments in the state of North Carolina.

Before 2023, North Carolina's regional tournaments were closed, meaning teams were assigned to regions geographically based on their county. Since 2023 all North Carolina regionals are open, so all teams in the state may compete in the tournament they choose. The tournament served Bladen, Brunswick, Columbus, New Hanover, and Pender counties when North Carolina's regional tournaments were closed.
