2022-2023
Season Review-
Regionals: Some of the most free tests I've ever encountered in my life, easy sweep.
State: Surprisingly, my two most confident events (Fast Facts and Ex. D), did worse than my least confident event (Dynamic Planet). DP had around 70 MCQ and the event supervisor yelled "20 minutes left!!!" when we were on question 20, having Alex Wang me bamboozled as heck D: The magic eraser came in handy that day, where Alex wrote a yes or a no on both sides, and we essentially coin flipped our way through...taking the dub. I was a little down about Ex. D though because I thought we were a really good team, but looking back, I was very trash back then so the loss was deserved without reaching full potential.
Nationals: L competition tbh bro. The awards ceremony was lit tho I can't lie especially when anthony won crime busters and alex had 5 mood swings from not placing in crave to getting 2nd in WIDI.

2023-2024
Season Review-
PRESEASON: It had been my goal since the summer of 2023 that I would place top 6 in the 2024 national tournament for science olympiad. I wanted it so bad and I could already feel my sleep schedule getting killed.
Regionals: This may have been the worst regionals competition I will ever go to. Air Trajectory was messed up. They gave us "practice shots," messed up our scores with OUR TEAM 2'S SCORES, WHICH PUT US IN 6TH PLACE INSTEAD OF 1ST, CJAP HAD NO REAL QUESTIONS ON THE TEST SO WE WERE DOING THE LAB FOR NOTHING, EX. D EXPERIMENT WAS DUMB BUT WE WON SO IT DOESN'T MATTER.
After getting 6th in Air Trajectory I decided it was time to lock in like david goggins and do the best so that if we qualify for nats, it would be my goal to place.
State: To be honest, state was really fun. Even though we got 2nd once again, there were many bright parts to look at. Experimental Design: It was the same team as my 8th grade year, and we were ready to go in and win this time. Meeting up every single week with a full experiment and write-up, we had done what was needed to prep for this competition. The experiment was interesting, we had to handle a live cricket...which was scary, (BUT WE WON) CJAP: Aidan and I thought we sold so hard because we ended up missing a lot of stuff on the observation sheet, but surprisingly we won, and we were able to cover up the stuff we missed after state, preparing for nationals. CJAP victory of 2024 is easily top 3 favorite medals of all time so far. Air Trajectory: This was extremely infuriating to me because the event supervisors arrived late, so they decided to not pause anyone's times, making us stumble a lot and we ended up getting 5th. All the work seemed like it was gone to waste and I wanted to give up, but I thought of my goal that I put up back in June 2023 and knew that if I wanted to place in any event the most, it was this one.
Nationals: Nationals 2024 was by FAR the best trip I've gone on and the best competition I've attended. The campus was nice, the tests were fun, and the results got the team hyped up like a zoo of monkeys. But the build up to nationals and the work put in was something that I would never recommend on people. Air Trajectory: Now, after 2 failed competitions (not failed necessarily but a lil disappointing), my partner and I knew it was time to get it together. First, we had to fix the problems that we were facing on the build itself. I found a flower pot bowl to keep our air bladder in place so it wouldn't move, keeping the data more consistent. Now, the actual testing was the brutal part. I set up distances of 2-8.5 meters and tested them every day for a month from 2:30 PM to 6:30 PM and sometimes 7:30 PM. This was some of the most brutal stuff I've gone through, and I got sick 3 times doing this because I contracted heat exhaustion two times and got a fever the third time from the hot weather and low AC we were testing in. BUT WE WERE ONE OF THE ONLY TEAMS TO GET A BUCKET SHOT IN AT NATIONALS AND WE GOT 6TH, FULFILLING THE GOAL. (but we forgot to take the 2nd bucket shot which would've gotten us 1ST AT NATS :SOB: ) it's ok tho because we were legit the first team to get called up for an actual event and that was lit. CJAP: We did really good, placing 12th overall but the lab was too easy and the test had some weird questions. Ex. D: Might've been the worst experiment topic I've ever seen in my life and it was hard to make an experiment on it so we might've sold a little.. :( WE WILL COME BACK THO.

I will miss Div. B a lot and I hope I can make the team in Div. C :D

2024-2025
Season Review-
Pembroke Invitational: Got cancelled because of snow bruzz
UChicago: First competition of the year, aye? Did pretty bad but it was lowkey a warmup. Ladue did bad overall due to a lack of competitors who were busy with conflicts. Maybe tournament champs in 2026? We'll see.
WashU: Well, something went wrong with the tennis ball...missed the bucket shots...will definitely be back. Team did good overall tho!
Regionals: Easy ahh competition. Probably the first time I didn't fail at regionals. Poor lego robot lost to Marquette High School so sad.
State: I HATE THIS COMPETITION >:::(((((((. THIS STATE COMP WAS STRAIGHT BUNS. EVENT SUPERVISORS COULDN'T DO ANYTHING RIGHT. team somehow won though so that's good. air trajectory state title finally is here. At this point I have basically completely shifted to do only build events. Goodbye my sanity. I don't like carrying things around everywhere to impound. I have to build stupid tower now.
Nationals: hehehehehe we'll see
