I first started competing in the fall of 2021, when I was in 6th grade, signing up for too many events to count. I ended up only competing in Codebusters and Write It Do It on the Ladue Division B team 2. At regionals of that year, I ended up getting 2nd place for Codebusters and 4th place in Write It Do It, beating Ladue team 1.

| Write It Do It | 4th |
| Team | 4th* (i think) |
*could not qualify for state because team 2
My second year of competing was the 2022-2023 school year, where I made a huge mistake that I would soon regret later. I ended up signing up for 11 events because I am mentally insane. Having signed up for so many events, I didn't have time to study for all of them. I ended up only making it into Codebusters, and picked up Roller Coaster along the way. That year, I somehow managed to make the Ladue team 1, despite starting out with only one event. The team managed to make nationals after getting 2nd place at states. Science Olympiad bad

| Roller Coaster | 1st (pog) | 1st (pog) | 15th |

The 2023-2024 school year is my 3rd year of Science Olympiad, where I hope to make the team with at least 1 event this time. Learning from his mistakes, this year, I only signed up for 7 events (some I am not trying, such as optics).
REGIONALS 2024 comments
Regionals went very well except for Crime Busters because I didnt do very well and I threw and a certain purple balloon messed all the fibers up :( Also i am sad because i did not see jaspattack
STATES 2024 comments
I did really bad at states. Codebusters was okay, I did really good but we couldn't get the Xenocrypt in time so we lost. Our timed question was also pretty slow compared to others which was unlucky. In Crime Busters, we ended up doing a lot better than expected. Me and my partner were thrown off because there was a sort of logic puzzle grid, which we had a little bit of a struggle on. We ended up pulling through at the end, and got second. I thought we did good in Disease Detectives but apparently not good enough, I don't think we got anything wrong but we might have ended up getting one of the True/Falses wrong :(. Its also possible that we didn't put enough for the tiebreaker questions so the other team ended up winning. Fossils went poorly. First of all, the test was written really badly. Secondly, the rules were unclear, confusing, and sort of unfair. He mentioned taking off points if we wrote too much down for an answer, which I thought was very unusual. Overall, our team did very well, and even though we got a tier 3 in Roller Coaster because of an impounding problem, we only lost to Pembroke Hill by 2 points. I can't really complain about getting second because we still made nats though. TOP TEN NATS INCOMING
NATIONALS 2024 comments
Codebusters: I really liked the test, and we ended up doing a bit better than we thought. We did happen to get the timed bonus 10 seconds after the 10 minutes was called because we couldn't figure out one word :(. However we got all 3 bonuses, a few xenocrypts, and I thought we did really well so yeah we got 14th ๐
comments on the test: like i said before, it was a pretty good test. I liked that the bonuses were actually doable, and didn't take 30 minutes per question, and there was a good balance of different cyphers. we actually missed pages 5 and 6 because I accidentally set them down on the other side of the table where nobody could see ๐ but it was still a great test, liked the quotes ๐
Crime Busters: Ladue 1st to 34th in one year ๐... aint no way. I tried my best though โน๏ธ, i think i did liquids, metals, plastics, fingerprints, footprints, and soil, with a little bit of the write-up at the end. We somehow didn't manage to finish the qual analysis and incrimination so we couldn't really do the write up, I kind of guessed on it and I think we guessed wrong so we got what was coming to us
comments on the test: it was extremely hard, definitely the hardest test ive ever taken, but it was also a really good test. There was basically everything on the test except for blood i think? so there was no way in the world we would be able to finish it.
Disease Detectives: i dont even know what happened ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ lowkey... I actually had the lowest hopes for disease detectives before nationals. I wasn't really studying much, and I felt like I didn't know anything and was getting carried by my teammate. However, we ended up basically knowing everything on the test (it was easy), so this is where we ended up. 2nd podium finish ๐ช
comments on the test: Was overall pretty short, didn't have a lot of stuff on rules such as history and people, 13 steps of outbreak investigation, pfge, etc.
Fossils: I really liked seeing the fossils there, but it was a bit too fast paced and I wasnt really awake yet (it was first block) so we weren't ready, we didn't do too horrible though but we definitely could've done better.
comments on the test: i saw an australopithecus skull ๐
2024-2025!!!! last year div b
events i signed up for: codebusters, disease detectives, experimental design, optics, potions and poisons, wind power
WashU invitational
My first invy ever which is hype, Ladue had 2 competition teams at the invy at about the same skill level, i was put on team blue with 6 events. Was pretty happy with my partners for most of my events except codebusters bc my partners were a 7th grader thats ok at it and the diddler who has never done the event before.
Competition Day:
Codebusters: we did okay i thought, we got a patristocrat that no other team got so we won ig. the test overall was pretty odd since there were only 2 pages which made it kinda hard for 3 people to work on it at the same time
Disease Detectives: the test was okay, okay difficulty level. we got cooked
Experimental Design: holy smokes we cooked so hard the experiment and materials we were given was pretty straightforward, we were given static electricity topic, a balloon, a bunch of different materials, and an electroscope so it was self explanatory what we had to do. i dont think me and the boys missed a single thing on that test. i think a lot of the other teams didnt do so well bc they didnt know how to use an electroscope bahahahahhahahah
Optics: oops this mightve been my fault sorry team
the test wasn't that bad in my opinion, i dont think anything on there was overly difficult. the laser shoot ended me lmfao we got 6 points bc we hit one barrier crossed 2 gridlines and hit a wall lmaoooooooooo i accidentally moved a mirror when i was taking out the template and the mirror covers and we lost :(
Potions: good test good difficulty level. experiment was pretty good, my partner ended up getting it really fast. we won bc there were 6 questions about balancing chem equations that were 5 pts each and it was too easy for us so free points yessir
Wind Power: it was a 20 point test with like 10 questions so it was really easy, we got 482 and 658 for low speed and high speed i think not great but not terrible
Regionals (6B)
worst regionals of my life its so over we are cooked
Competition Day:
Codebusters: we did great, got the timed around 4:20 which was decent but definitely not the best we could do. There were 10 codes, with 1 hill cipher thats not on the rules. we were able to get all of them (guessed cryptarithm with keyword) and got first
Disease Detectives: the test was literally the worst test ive ever taken its not even disease detectives its just writing, "write a concise and comprehensive statement about ___" ahh
Optics: test went great, it was very easy but then something bad happened we got like 35 cm off in the laser shoot we were so sure we wouldnt place and i was ready to lose but we got 2nd which was very unexpected im very happy about taht
Potions: i feel like it went pretty good, the only thing i can think of that we missed was the guess the poisonous snake question, got 2nd
Wind Power: our build ran very well, the test was way too hard, we didn't do very well on that
States (MO)
we did it
Competition Day:
Codebusters: first block. timed was tough and we got it in about 11-12 mins, got everything else and finished 15 minutes before time ended.
Potions: second block. test went great imo, lab was kinda weird but we got it
Wind Power: our build ran 0.000 V on low power lmfao the fan was so weak, the test was also copied off of princeton
Optics: the setup was really bad and we only got 3 lines no accuracy, test was pretty easy
Disease: it was like a microbe test and i didnt know anything
Nationals
Last div B competition
Competition Day:
Potions: first block, test was really easy. we might have lost some easy points on the lab, which bumped us down a few places but 11th is pretty good
Disease: second block. test was very very very hard and it was very very very long, only finished about 70% - 80% of it. also forgot to write our name and team number but it worked out
Optics: third block. laser shoot went as well as expected, 4.3 cm off, 6 grids but the test was pretty difficult
Code: fourth block, went pretty well imo, 4:30 timed, about 23 qs done, got 5th
Wind Power: test was tough, 42 mcq and 11 frq, build went okay
