Pleasant Valley High School (PV for short) was a Division C team located in Brodheadsville, Pennsylvania. They competed in the Northeast region.

History

Pleasant Valley's earliest confirmed participation was at the 1999 Northeast Regional. Subsequently, their team took a hiatus.

Starting in 2008, Pleasant Valley competed in the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference Tournament (formerly Mountain Valley Conference Tournament). They then began competing at regionals in addition to this tournament in 2014, placing 14th in 2014. After falling to 19th in 2015, they began to rapidly improve their placements..

2017 was the best year in PV's history, marking all-time highs in placement at the EPC and Regional tournament, and they also attended the Tiger Invitational for the first time, placing 31st. Though they were offered a placement at states when 6th-place East Stroudsburg High School South declined their spot, PV did not accept, and the spot was eventually taken by 9th-place Athens Area High School.

Unfortunately, this was the closest PV ever came to attending states. They have not returned to competing since the onset of the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic.

Rivals

Historically, PV's rivals have been its long-time foes in the MVC tournament: Stroudsburg and East Stroudsburg South. Pocono Mountain East High School can also be considered a rival in other sports, but the development of PM East's team has come primarily after the demise of the PV program.
