Format

Teams in Nebraska participate directly in the state tournament - there are no regional tournaments. Nebraska uses the high-score-wins scoring method, which was used at the National level prior to 2001, rather than the low-score-wins method that is typical of most of the nation. State organization policy limits students at the state tournament to competing in at most four events.
