East Hills fed primarily into Freedom High School.
History
East Hills' program was founded in the 1986-87 season by coach Lucy Kavas. In 1987, since there were no regionals in the B Division, East Hills automatically advanced to states, where they placed 27th overall.
Competing in the Northeast
Starting in 1988, B Division teams had to advance to states through regionals. East Hills would return to states in 1992 after placing 4th in the Northeast region. From then on, East Hills would become a consistently strong contender at the Northeast regional. They qualified for states every year in which they competed, except for 1998, when they missed states by only one point. They also earned several top-10 finishes, with their highest-known finish being 7th place in 1996.
Formation of the Central East
In 1999, the Central East region was formed, and East Hills was one of the top teams. Also, starting in 1999, Lucy Kavas retired from teaching at the school, but continued coaching. They frequently finished in 2nd place in the early years of the Central East regional, coming second to Fleetwood Area Middle School. From 2005 and on, they did not finish higher than 3rd, but they never failed to qualify for the state tournament, frequently finishing in the top 20.
East Hills has not competed since 2012.
