Maryland has been sending teams to the national tournament for over a decade. Its teams have been relatively competitive on the national stage, usually placing in the top 30 at the national tournament.
History

Most recently, Burleigh Manor Middle School won its first state championship in Division B with 68 points and Centennial High School won Division C with 47 points.
