Hey, I'm Astronomyguy. I'll be a junior in the 2023-2024 season attending Centennial High School.

Most of my friends started Science Olympiad in middle school at Burleigh Manor Middle School. However, I didn't join until my freshman year of high school. In tryouts, I only successfully tried out for one event, Astronomy, probably barely making it on the B team. Because I was a one-trick pony, I was filled onto the Bridge and Wright Stuff events. Being on two build events as a newcomer unfamiliar with them was tough, and the aded difficulty of virtual Scioly meant that my dedication to it wasn't very high. I didn't have my first in-person performance until regionals, when I found out how fun tournaments really were. I had a stellar performance, and since then, I've worked hard to place high in my events. My dream is to one day place in Astronomy and Flight at nationals.

2021-2022 - Events: Astronomy, Wright Stuff, Bridges, Team: Centennial B

Regionals: 1st place Wright Stuff, 1st Bridges (got carried though), 3rd Astronomy

2022-2023 - Events: Astronomy, Flight, Bridges, Remote Sensing, Team: Centennial B

Fairfax: 1st place Astronomy Carnegie Mellon: 5th place Astronomy, 1st place Flight Princeton: 7th place Flight Regionals: 2nd place Astronomy, 1st place Remote Sensing, Flight got tiered but would've had 1st place :(
