Lane Tech High School is a Division C team that competes in Illinois' Chicago Public Schools Regional. Since 2021, Lane Tech has been in Illinois's AA subdivision. Most of the team feeds from Lane Tech Academic Center (also known as LTAC). In 2024 and 2025, the school hosted the Chicago Public Schools (CPS) Regional.

In 2025, the team achieved the highest ranking at the state tournament of any Chicago Public Schools Div C team ever, placing 5th out of 53 teams.
