Basically, plant taxonomy is weird. You should put down whatever is on wikipedia (clades, informal classes); it should be enough.

Yes (though not significantly, it could be score-affecting). To what extent? Your guess is as good as mine. Event supervisors will ask what they feel is important.

Apart from making the binder and memorizing names and pictures, how do you prepare for thie event? Watch youtube videos? Read articles?

Memorizing specific things besides the name is also very useful. For example knowing where the invasive came from originally off the top of your head would be helpful so that you don't have to waste time looking for the answer in your binder. Little things like that make a big difference.
