I don't think it's too heavy. But there is either too much friction, like you said, or your launcher isn't strong enough. No offense danger will robinson, but I really don't think that somebody out there has a car too heavy.

Hey guys, ive gota bit of a prob
my car is going straight and pretty fast and is a real good car
the only problem is that when it breaks it skids BAD
like the car will go to the stop and then move
any suggestions on a fix or whats going on
i use a wingnut break and one note that may be important is that the front is kinda a bit more heavy then the back....

Try adding friction to the wheels.

Try to up the friction on the wheels first, but if the brake is on the back you might have to consider putting it on the heavier end. Also, you could try putting a rubber washer in between the frame and the wingnut, so the brakes apply a little more slowly.

I just finished my new cars. One is metal and one is Good they are both amazingly straight and the way the same. I was amazed because I stink at building so my partner made the cars frame crazy straight. I will probably post pics of them soon. Im also almost done with my spring launcher anyone know what kind of spring works the best? Where should I get it?

ok
my car is made of carbon fiber, and has cd wheels
it goes really straight for the first like, 10 meters, but then swerves to the left
the wheels are on straight, and i'm pretty sure it's not human error.
what now?
