Mickelson Middle School is a Division B team that competes in South Dakota. The school was previously named Brookings Middle School. In 2021, they broke Yankton Middle School's 36-year streak of winning the South Dakota state tournament and became the second South Dakota Division B school to ever compete at Nationals.
