History

The Hudson High School Science Olympiad team was created in 2010 and has qualified for the state tournament every year since its inception. The team consistently places at the top of their region at the Akron Regional Tournament, defeating Revere High School for the first place trophy in 2014, Nordonia High School for the first place trophy in 2018, and Revere High School again for the first place trophy in 2019. In 2019, the team, consisting of 14 students, reached its best ranking of 5th at the Ohio State Tournament, outperforming all regional competitors and placing behind Mentor High School to receive its first state trophy.
