Science Olympiad is a team competition held in the United States in which students participate in 23 events relating to various scientific fields such as biology, physics, etc. Every year, about 7,800 middle and high school teams from 50 different states participate.

General Info - Events

Each event can be categorized into five main categories: Life Science, Social Science, Earth & Space Science, Chemistry, and Physical Science (Physics). Build events are considered as Engineering. Some events may also have multiple types of competitions, which will be clearly stated in the event rules manual, including lab and/or written tests.
