Buena Vista is a Division C team that competes in Colorado's Southern Region. Buena Vista High School competed from 2005 to 2012, then resumed in 2020. Science Olympiad started at BVHS when Sweetcoop's sister was a freshman and founded the team. SO at BVHS was an after school meeting club up until 2008 when it became a class and was joined with Academic Decathlon.
