Hello. I'm from Iolani and am currently a Senior ('26).
I’ve done a few events throughout my years, but my favorite is definitely Disease Detectives. Here’s a list of all the events I did from 7th-12th grade in order of preference (I think).
7th Grade: Disease Detectives and Crime Busters
8th Grade: Disease Detectives, Crime Busters, Anatomy and Physiology
9th Grade: Disease Detectives, Forestry, Crime Busters, Can’t Judge a Powder, Anatomy and Physiology, Roller Coaster (for a short period)
10th Grade: Disease Detectives, Forestry, Scrambler
11th Grade: Disease Detectives, Entomology, Bungee Drop
12th Grade: Disease Detectives, Bungee Drop, Entomology
I probably had more success in my 9th grade year compared to any other year (despite doing 6 events at one point in time)…
As you can probably tell, I don’t really like builds that much but I guess Bungee Drop is something. I’ve had some high highs and some very low lows with Bungee but it’s probably the build event that I’ve enjoyed the most.

4th in Bungee at MIT (2024-25)
3rd, 4th, and 5th at Disease at Highlands in successive years from Sophomore (2023-24) to Senior Year (2025-26) 💀
9th at Disease in BirdSO (2022-23)
4th and 1st in Disease for SEC (2023 & 2024 Summer)
14th in Disease at MIT (2024-25)
19th in Disease at Nationals for both years I've competed in Nationals in Div C 😭 (2023-24 & 2024-25)
7th in Disease at Boyceville (Division 1) (2023-24 & 2024-25)
2nd in Disease at LexSO (2022-23)
5th at Ento at Highlands (2025-26)
15th at Ento at MIT (2024-25)
17th at Ento at Nationals (2024-25)
