11th Grade - (2024-25)
At the end of his 10th grade year, he ran for election for an officer/captain role of the club. He was elected and was assigned the role as Secretary. This year he plans on competing in Air Trajectory, Experimental Design, Bungee Drop with Stechnoblade, Electric Vehicle, and Robot Tour. Tinbot was elected as President of the club in May of 2025. Overall, he was very satisfied with the way the season, and looks to be even more dominant in his final year of Science Olympiad.

PA States - April 26, 2025
States was overall an enjoyable competition and a lot of fun. However, Tinbot was irked by the fact that he was "robbed" in Robot Tour. As Robot Tour was initially announced as 2nd and then changed after an appeal to 1st (as they got 0.5 cm and 0.25 secs over). In Electric Vehicle, he achieved the worst placement of the year as well due to the code not uploading for the 2nd run, which likely prevented them from getting Top 2 in the event. Bungee Drop and Experimental Design both went to plan achieving solid placements respectively. Overall, 6th place was a huge achievement for Garnet Valley and finished the year of strong with their best season ever.

SEPA Regionals - March 14th, 2025
Regionals was a lot of fun and quite successful for myself, as Tinbot won 5 medals! Unfortunately our team fell short of our goal of defeating Penncrest and placing top 3. It was fun playing soccer outside with some people from my school and Abington as well. It was also great to meet some of the people I know from Harriton, Lower Merion, and Penncrest. On to States!

SOUP (UPenn) - February 15th, 2025
SOUP was incredibly in nearly every event. With the most competitive event being Electric Vehicle. Even with an accuracy of 1.1 cm and time of 5 secs, Tinbot and his partner thought he had failed to medal. In Air Trajectory, he finally double bucketed, but still lost to 1st place by 1 cm. Bungee Drop was bad because the cord undershot a lot. Experimental Design was mid because you can't lose 11 pts and medal at SOUP. Robot Tour was quite a bit of sellery. As an officer/captain, Tinbot was very happy with Garnet Valley's performance when super scored given they were ahead of all other PA teams by a decent margin, aside from Harriton, LM, and CV. Another fun part of SOUP was meeting people from different schools. (13th/50 is superscored)

Just one week later it was time to get back in action. Princeton was a fun experience as always. In Air Trajectory, he missed the 2nd bucket again (costing him 1st). Experimental Design had some scoring errors which may have cost his team a medal. Everything else was mid. Garnet Valley was stacked for this tournament.

North Pocono Invitational - January 25th, 2025
First competition of 2025! Once again it went alright. Garnet Valley HS was unstacked yet won a 6th place trophy. Personally, Tinbot's best event was Electric Vehicle where he won with a score 6.14. In Experimental Design, his team got off-topic-ed and in Air Trajectory he missed the 2nd bucket after making the 1st. In Bungee Drop, they hit the ground on the 1st drop (still almost medaled). Note: 3rd is school rank (when all schools are superscored).

Battle at Valley Forge - December 14th, 2024
The competition went alright. Garnet Valley HS was unstacked and Tinbot competed on the "A" team, though neither the A or B team was particularly better than the other Electric Vehicle, Bungee Drop, and Experimental Design went about as expected, Robot Tour went terribly, and Air Trajectory was worse than normal due to a decision by the ES that Tinbot did not agree with. Overall, Tinbot found this competition very enjoyable and especially enjoyed playing football with his friends and some people from West Windsor-Plainsboro North. Note: 5th is school rank (when all schools are superscored).

Dick Smith Memorial Invitational - December 2-7, 2024
He competed in Air Trajectory, EXPD, Bungee Drop, Electric Vehicle, Robot Tour. Tinbot thought his partner for Bungee could solo and do fine, he was wrong, as Stechno completely messed up measuring the elastic and hit the floor twice. Air Trajectory was a disappointment, losing to Parkland and PENNCREST (NOT AGAINNNNN), hitting the rim on one of the bucket shots. Electric Vehicle and Robot Tour went well. Experimental Design was incredibly surprising as he thought he was cooked, fried, baked, and sautéed. Overall, the invitational went pretty good with 4 out of 5 medals.

10th Grade - (2023-24)
He entered 10th Grade with a lot of motivation to do better than last year. He took challenge tests for Experimental Design, Ecology, and Geologic Maps, while doing Air Trajectory and Tower as builds.
Battle at Valley Forge - December 16, 2023
He got his first ever medal at BVF in Air Trajectory, however, his device still greatly underperformed how well it was working during testing. He ended up being just one place off a medal in Experimental Design. His team's Tower was put together very last minute, thus the low placement.

Princeton was a pretty big disappointment. He had an amazing chance to medal in Air Trajectory, but miscommunications during the launches messed everything up, so he got 10th place. Experimental Design wasn't amazing either, which was unfortunate. Tower... was just Tower.

Air Trajectory was once again a pretty massive disappointment. His device once again didn't function how it did during testing. Experimental Design was originally 11th, but after an accepted appeal over 7 pts, his team's ranking went up to 7th (one below a medal again). Tower was just really bad.

Southeast PA Regionals - March 8, 2024
Regionals was a massive success with 3 medals! The most significant of these being a gold on Air Trajectory. He built an entirely new device after SOUP and it worked out great, getting a score of 6800, narrowly beating out Lower Merion! The NT was 4.5 cm away, the FT was 5.5 cm away, and he got the ball in the Bucket on the first try, but not the second.

PA States - April 27, 2024
He competed in 3 events at States, Air Trajectory, Experimental Design, and Tower. He only had expectations for Experimental Design and Air Trajectory. We unfortunately did not medal in Experimental Design. Air Trajectory, he knew he was going to medal unless something disastrous happened. Although he got 3rd with a score of 6810, I was somewhat disappointed since Penncrest, who won, had a very beatable score. His NT shot was screwed because of a miscommunication with the Event Supervisor and he had to pull my triggering device from the left side rather than the right, resulting in 25 cm off (not good!). His FT was 4 cm off which was nice. He made the 1st bucket, but then proceeded to hit the side of the 2nd bucket. Unfortunately, his school absolutely BOMBED states! At a certain point in the award ceremony, it dawned on me that our school wouldn't even be getting T10, something I thought was guaranteed. Overall, I left States feeling disappointed.
