hello!

I'm probably not gonna be active

Proud loserianian and earth science fan (reformed minerobo addict(ish))

You may call me Mareena or another nickname

2021-2022 Season and 2022-2023 Season

I did compete these two seasons! However, I was an understudy for the first season and I don't particularly remember which events and invitationals I did in 2022-2023, though I do remember having to cram a lot because I kept getting put into events last minute.

2023-2024 Season

Rickards Boyceville Texas A&M BirdSO Louisiana State Nationals
Dynamic Planet 14th 16th 4th 22nd 1st 12th

Disease Detectives 13th 20th -- -- -- --
Road Scholar 22nd 44th 1st 48th -- --
Tower -- -- -- -- 2nd --
Anagrams 12th -- -- -- --

(I barely remember taking most of these tests and I had to drop way too many events by the end of the year.)

Can you tell I'm tired

Personal Ranking of all the events I've taken tests for

  1. Dynamic Planet: 11/10 best event no matter the topic. I will not tolerate glaciology hate.
  2. Geologic Mapping: I LOVE THIS EVENT!!! I'm kind of bad at it, but I enjoy the topic
  3. Rocks and Minerals: It's an identification even, but make it Geologic Mapping style. The only issue is the sheer amount of trivia(Also I'm sorry to my partner in 7th grade for slacking so much, you did so much work Rui).
  4. Materials Science(Ceramics): I hate on this event outwardly a lot but I actually quite like it. There's a lot of maths and different portions to consider with a study, lab, and build, but it's a pretty solid event.
  5. Entomology: I hated most of the tests but loved learning the bugs.
  6. Codebusters: It's not bad but it's not good. I enjoy the logic side to it though!
  7. Fossils: It's an ID event, so it automatically ranks high, but I could never really get into it. I understand the appeal though.
  8. Fermi: Fun event, never really did anything proper for it though.
  9. Astronomy: In another life, I would've liked this a lot because it's a really fun event, but I've never had the connection to the event. Never studied.
  10. Solar System: It's the same thing as Astronomy.
  11. Disease Detectives: I've only taken tests for this event twice, so I honestly haven't looked at enough of the tests to properly judge.
  12. Green Generation: I was a sub and got hard carried, but it seemed fun. I helped out with a soil section I think.
  13. Bio-Process Lab: State was weird so I had to do this, so I also don't think I got the highest caliber test. It wasn't bad though that might have been because it was Louisiana State and the highest difficulty level they went up to was high school biology.
  14. Experimental Design: Same situation as Disease Detectives, although I think I would be more likely to choose Disease Detectives again because it's a study event.
  15. Tower: I don't like builds, that's it.
  16. Crave the Wave: I was a dumb sixth grader when I took this, so that may have been why I disliked it so much.
  17. Road Scholar: I just had a bad experience with the event overall I think. I got put in it last minute at nationals 7th grade year and did it a couple times to see if I could get myself to like it. I couldn't and now I have a strong dislike for the event.
