Gelinas Junior High School's Science Olympiad team in the 2018-19 season, and is now trying out for the Ward Melville High School team. He was a captain of Paul J. Gelinas Junior High School in the 2020-21 season. He regrets choosing this username.

In 7th grade, call-me-alex joined the Gelinas SciO team after accidentally missing 3/4 of his tryout tests. His second ever SciO award was a 7th place ribbon in Herpetology.

2019-2020
Unfortunately, in 8th grade, call-me-alex's States tournament was canceled and he was forced to have no life for the rest of the school year. He thinks this may have been a good thing, because he was getting a little overconfident in his placings and might have cried at Nationals if he hadn't medaled. Every cloud has a silver lining, right? ...Right?
This year, call-me-alex also had the memorable experience of bombing Meteorology at Regionals. If anyone asks, he will say it was a "grading error". It was not a grading error. call-me-alex would prefer to forget what happened.
