Aaron Gu first stepped into the Science Olympiad world in 2022 as a sophomore. He quickly earned a reputation for being the smelliest person in the room and was able consume ungodly amounts of food. Sadly, these skills were not great enough for him to rise to the A-team, so for the fall 2022 season, Aaron competed on the B-team. During the spring season, Aaron learned how to fart on command, propelling him all the way to the A-team. Aaron became a critical part of the LASA Scio A-team in the 2023-2024 season, showing his new and improved aura. Unfortunately his stench was too much for the team and the nationals dream was crushed. By 2024-2025, Aaron had become a pillar of Lasa Scio, someone you could always rely on to stink up the room. During his senior year, Aaron had a breakout season, finally defeating the washed allegations. A career defining season died out as Aaron crashed and burned at nationals. The 2024-2025 season capped off Aaron's magnificent high school Scio career.
Aaron's scioly shenanigans will continue at Cornell University.

What a crazy season. It's been a crazy ride, from thinking I was the goat of scio in sophomore year to realizing I was merely a frog at the bottom of the well. I obviously didn't perform as well as I would have liked at nationals but I am very proud of our team performance. These tournaments and times have all turned into core memories. Lou's chicken, Pacsun, Yunxi's bald head, that one sculpture at MIT, crumbing zestnard's drink, getting 4th at state, fighting the monster before every comp, flushing mac cheese n glizzys down the toilet at ggso... and the list goes on. Shoutout to everyone on the team for showing up and being my motivation. I leave lasa scio with many core memories and a stinky legacy.
