Torrey Pines High School
Torrey Pines High School is a public high school located in San Diego, California. It is a member of the San Dieguito Union High School District and has had a long history of academic excellence. It had an enrollment of 2700 in 2014-2015, however this has dropped due to Canyon Crest Academy being named the most attended school in the district at around 2632. Torrey Pines was founded in 1974 and was named for the endangered torrey pine. Notable alumni include and are not limited to Shaun White, Tony Hawk, John Allred and John Lynch as well as Tristan Prettyman and Sirikitiya Jensen.
