Sachem North High School is a Division C school which participates in New York's Eastern Long Island regional competition. Despite being a very large school with over 2000 students in grades 9-12, they have only attended states once, back in 1997. Two years after this, the school district built new schools and a series of district reconfigurations ensued [2]. Currently, Sachem North is one of two schools in Sachem School District, with Sachem East High School being the other.
