Lehighton Area High School is a Division C team located in Lehighton, Pennsylvania. They compete in the Northeast Pennsylvania Regional and regularly qualify for states and perform well there. Additionally, they traditionally have a rivalry with Stroudsburg High School and East Stroudsburg High School South in competing for the MVC Championship (now the EPC Championship).
History
Lehighton began their program in the mid-2000s and quickly found success, qualifying for states for the first time in 2006. They would go on to be one of the most consistent programs in the Northeast during the late 2000s and early 2010s, only missing states twice in a span of 10 years. Their best placement at regionals was 4th in 2008, while their best placement at states was a 20th-place finish at the 2010 Pennsylvania State Tournament.
From 2016 to 2022, the program experienced a bit of a downturn. Though they never failed to make the top 10 at regionals, they also did not finish any higher than 8th, and thus did not qualify for states. However, 7th-place finish at regionals in 2023, only scoring 169 points, indicated that better times would be on the way, and in both 2024 and 2025, they would match their all-time best finish of 4th place at regionals.
