Junkyard Challenge is a Division B (formerly Division C) event in which the team must prepare a set of materials and bring them to build a certain device on-site. The challenge changes every year the event is run. It was last an active event in 2011, and was run as a trial event at the 2006, 2007, and 2008 National Tournaments. Many of its concepts are covered in other building events, such as Towers and Bridge Building.
