CrabSO is a hybrid (in-person and satellite) Division B invitational based in Maryland. In its first year, CrabSO was a satellite tournament with 58 competing teams. In the 2026 season, it will be run with both a satellite and in-person tournament. The in-person competition will be held at Clarksville Middle School in Clarksville, Maryland on January 24th, 2026. The satellite tournament will run throughout the week of January 24th - 31st, 2026.
CrabSO is part of Chesapeake STEM Connections, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to supporting up and coming middle school Science Olympiad teams in Maryland. All proceeds from CrabSO are reinvested back into Chesapeake STEM Connections endeavors.
