The IS98 Bay Academy Science Olympiad team, established in 2015, has quickly become one of the most successful teams in New York's Division B, representing Bay Academy (I.S. 98) in Brooklyn, New York. The team has consistently excelled in the New York City Regionals competition, securing 1st place every year since 2018 and achieving remarkable success at the state level. The Bay Academy scored a total of only 76 points in the 2025 New York State tournament, the best in the last 20 years (excluding the 2021 virtual State tournament that left out build events due to the Covid-19 Pandemic). Bay Academy made history by becoming the first NYC public school to qualify for the National Science Olympiad Tournament (placing 18th, 16th, and 14th in 2022, 2024, and 2025 respectively)!
