Clinton Middle School is a Division B school that has placed first at the South Carolina state competition from 2016 to 2019 and 2022 to 2024 and has qualified for the 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2022, 2023, and 2024 national tournaments.
The school was formed in the summer of 2015 when the reigning champion Bell Street Middle School changed locations and was renamed. When including Bell Street's history, Clinton has won every state title in South Carolina since 2003, with a peak placing at nationals of 33rd during that time.
Clinton won the inaugural Citadel Regional on March 2, 2019, with a score of 35. They also won the first state championship hosted by the Citadel, with a score of 53.
