Under Fermi Question/Making Calculations Quickly, is the format of E3, +E3, -E4 commonly used? The Fermi Question Marathon users mostly use either aEb for a*10^b, or just Eb for indicate 1*10^b. Furthermore, the 0, +, - notation sometimes brings significant errors when attempted compared to multiplying and dividing with normal exponents.
