Online Training Opportunity
Online Training Opportunity
I'm not sure if this is the correct place to list this or not...
There's a website my kid used a few weeks ago that helps him prepare for his events (DIV B), Anatomy and Physiology and Crave the Wave. The website is [redacted]. They have online classes for about an hour for all different events, AND they're currently offering free sessions this coming weekend. I thought this would be a good resource to other students too!

Re: Online Training Opportunity
I'd say this better fits in General Chat, since (as I see it) this subforum is for discussion of invitationals. Either way, if it goes somewhere else a mod will move it.zeroingout wrote:I'm not sure if this is the correct place to list this or not...

Also, that's a really interesting website; the staff seem to be qualified (although it's difficult to tell without knowing what schools they competed for) and the website looks good.

Re: Online Training Opportunity
I can't endorse this, obviously. It's nice that they're offering free sessions, but DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT spend money on this sort of thing. From the looks of their about page, these guys are just college undergrads. Your teachers, by definition, know more than these people. There are numerous people on scioly.org that know more than these people. And we're all willing to help you for free. If you're gonna drop $110 --- WAIT, THEY'RE ASKING FOR OVER ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS? --- if you're gonna drop that much money on a tutor (which is wholly unnecessary in the first place) then you better find like a college professor or something.zeroingout wrote:I'm not sure if this is the correct place to list this or not...

Oh my lord. I can't believe people are actually doing this. This is so silly. They are college undergraduates taking your money for lessons that will not be as helpful as free alternatives. They are not teachers. They have no formal teaching education. Do not give them any of your money.
