Technically this was a two person fault, but last year for wheeled vehicle we forgot the most important thing: SET THE BRAKE. It cost us a placing.
That being said, I don't do build events anymore.

Anatomy partner this year didn't want to answer questions with pictures of diseases and told me "You do those and cover them because they're too disgusting for me to look at."

Thankfully all my partners my first year were good, but last year my partner for Ento did barely any independent work and only did the things that were assigned (not much). My partner for DP had the event the previous year and still didn't know a ton of info about the event. Because he supposedly knew everything my coach just quickly glossed over the basics and then dove into the more complex stuff they hadn't had time to cover the previous year. That meant that I was completely confused and didn't really understand anything. Considering all of this I was still the one who knew most of the answers on the test. This year my Ento partner is doing absolutely no work. 3 months before regionals I told him to put notes into the field guide hoping he would actually do something and when we packed for the event there was absolutely nothing in it. My Solar partner this year also isn't really doing anything. I seem to be cursed with all the parasites on the team, not many of my other teammates have as many as I do.

My Anatomy partner this year didn't show up for the test at Invitationals OR Regionals! Haha okay well the regionals mishap was partly my fault, we were also partners for Mission Possible and we didn't completely finish our machine so we ended up using up all our setup time and he couldn't make it to anatomy because he was testing for mission.... needless to say, I have a new partner for Anatomy now (:

Update: My Solar partner was just kicked out. My new partner is from the JV team and actually cares about winning. Hallelujah!
