How weather has affected your season.

My recently lost an entire week of school to snow storms, which has noticeable stunted the teams progress. Anyone else have stories of such predicaments?

Well, we had to cancel going to the only invitational that we had all year. >.>

It cancelled our last invite previously scheduled for this weekend, but nothing as severe as above.

The Regional tournament director sent out mildly funny e-mail updates about his watching the local weather channel and what they had to say (note: this channel is known for sensationalizing weather). In the end, the weather was slightly icy with a torrential downpour at 5-6AM which ended in time for transit to competition. The only team that didn't show was one further away. I have never faced a serious issue in SO as a result of inclement weather, thankfully.

Couple of snow days gave us more time to study for an invitational. C team finished 2nd!

So far, we've only had a few snow days, which have caused us to miss one practice.

we missed mayb like 2 meetings bcuz of snow...
but the best was on our way to regionals it snowed i think a day or so before and on the way there @ like 7 the bus had no heat...nd the place was 45 minutes away but we got lost nd it basically took us forever...keep in mind it was freezing nd there was no heat.
another bummer was that the awards ceremony got cancelled so we still don't have our medals.
It was still a fun regionals though

Luck would have it that one of the few times it snows all year happened the week of our last invitational and we weren't able to make it

Last year I had a bunch of snow days and it was the worst year for Science Olympiad in my school district in years. At least this year my coaches are doing extra practices.
