Asymmetrical Top Rotor
Asymmetrical Top Rotor
I was looking at this year’s Freedom Flight Model kit and noticed that the top rotor is asymmetrical, which I believe is the blades not being evenly spaced 90 degrees apart like last year’s kit. Does anyone know why an asymmetrical top rotor might be beneficial, or what advantages it could provide?

Because the specified box is not a square end, but rather a rectangle

The 70/110 degree top rotor blade orientation allows 5 cm additional rotor diameter.

Is the FF top rotor considered a "4 bladed rotor" and therefore not eligible for the 10% bonus offered by rule 6.c.iv?

Correct. The top rotor has 4 blades, therefore it is a four bladed rotor and not eligible for the bonus.
