Use of Glue on top of Tape
The rules state: Basically no glue can be touching the bottle. However, can glue be used if it is separated by a layer of tape? I am looking to attach fins to the bottle, but have found that the tape quickly becomes very heavy. The use of glue would be lighter and more secure but is obviously prohibited. So: could you first stick a piece of tape to the bottle, and then glue your fins to the tape, providing a buffer layer and allowing the fins to be removed. Is this legal?

Re: Use of Glue on top of Tape
That should be fine as long as you ensure that nothing leaks onto the bottle during the construction process.cvarno wrote: ↑Wed Dec 08, 2021 12:37 pm The rules state: Basically no glue can be touching the bottle. Re: Use of Glue on top of Tape
We did this many years ago when it was just Bottle Rocket and didn't have any issues with our supervisors.cvarno wrote: ↑Wed Dec 08, 2021 12:37 pm The rules state: Basically no glue can be touching the bottle.
