What do the stars under your username mean?
does it have something to with number of posts or something?

Basically, number of posts, as you post more you get more stars. However, if you would like to get a "gold medal" you must edit the wiki in a good way :D

1 star - existing
2 stars - 10 or more "useful" posts
3 stars - 50 or more "useful" posts
4 stars - 150 or more "useful" posts

By useful, do you mean ones that aren't on the general chat forums?
and also, doesn't it go up to 6 stars?

Yeah, general chat and posting games posts are not considered "useful".
More than 4 stars means they're an admin or a mod or something.

Five stars are global/wiki/image mods
Six stars are site admins.

Medals are for becoming exalted there is a separate thread for that
