Explain Assassinator Games, please
Reading through the posts, it seems interesting. Anyone explain everything to me please? Its very confusing.. the assassinator's account is owned by one person right? How can it be different people each game? Who are informants? Who are police? ...........Just explain everything, please!

Re: Explain Assassinator Games, please
Bah, not another one of these topics, though I do thank you for not posting in the thread and making spam.
I'm a bit swamped with doing hw right now, so I'll be lazy and tell you the best way to understand them is by reading past threads. I think reading the first 5 games to understand how it started and the most recent 5 games to see how it is now should suffice.

Re: Explain Assassinator Games, please
Read the first post of one of the games. The Assassinator explains all of the rules in the initial post of each game thread. Like this one, from the most recent game.

Re: Explain Assassinator Games, please
The assassin has one goal and one goal only: to kill everyone. They do this by selecting a victim. It could be anybody on this forum. They then create a clue, for example one like this:
The phrase "bacon is key to good health" should point to the "Baconian cipher". When decrypted, the phrase "Don t fail at solving this clue" appears- thus point to you, EpicFailOlympian.
If you are an informant, then you can only post, but if you are an officer, than you may also protect who you think is the victim. If you protect the right person, then they don't die. However, if three days pass and no one protects the victim, then that person will die and they won't be able to post any more.
Officers can also accuse someone. If they accuse the person who is the assassin, then the game ends. However, if an officer accuses three times incorrectly, then they lose their power to accuse and protect.
Once the game ends, then the person who figured out the assassin's identity will pick the next assassin. The current assassin will then PM the password to the new assassin, that assassin will change the password, then the next game goes up and the round starts all over. Its pretty fun! Some of the best rounds have been #17 and #40, but every now and then the rules will change- such as in #44 and #49, when I was the assassin.
Sorry, but since you're not an officer or an informant, than all you get to do is watch. You can't post... I know, it stinks, but hop in on the next round! The officers are the first 5 people to post, and the informants are the next 5 people to post.
If you have any more questions, feel free to ask!
EDIT: Yes, I know I contradicted myself by saying that you can't post if you're not an officer/informant, but don't pay attention to me... I do things like that.
This clue would somehow point to the victim. It is the job of the officers and the informants, who are the only ones that can post, to solve this clue.My clue is:
AAABBABBBAABBAB BAABB AABABAAAAAABAAAABABB AAAAABAABB BAABAABBBAABABBBABABABAAAABBABAABBA BAABBAABBBABAAABAABA AAABAABABBBABAAAABAA

Re: Explain Assassinator Games, please
How do you choose which is the assassinator? Is the one of the officers/informants secretly the assassinator? Or you guess from all the active users?
