Perseid Meteor Shower
If you're up and not already watching, go out now. I caught a real bright one about a half hour ago, as well as 4-5 others.
Should be a real good show at about 4 AM EDT (1 AM PDT).

Yeah, I set my alarm for 3:45. Don't worry if it's cloudy near you, it should continue at least through Thursday.

Re: Perseid Meteor Shower
Yeah, you probably will see some tomorrow night, but nothing like the amount you do during the peak.

Re: Perseid Meteor Shower
I almost missed it. I love watching meteor showers. I would have had a good view last night too. I hope there are still some tonight.

Re: Perseid Meteor Shower
If you read it in a book, it probably most likely stated that the shower peaks between August 9th and 12th. That's because the date changes by a few days every year.x_SOninja_x wrote:wait it goes till thursday?? i read in a book that it was from aug 9-12....

This year's peaked early this morning. No doubt there will still be some tonight, but not as many.

Re: Perseid Meteor Shower
I missed it last night, but it was raining anyhow (I don't think we've had a week without rain all summer). I'll be sure to go out tonight though. Last time there was a meteor shower lights from the city kind of drowned it out, but we'll see
