Perseid Meteor Shower

Post by andrewwski »

If you're up and not already watching, go out now. I caught a real bright one about a half hour ago, as well as 4-5 others.

Should be a real good show at about 4 AM EDT (1 AM PDT).

Yeah, I set my alarm for 3:45. Don't worry if it's cloudy near you, it should continue at least through Thursday.

Yeah, you probably will see some tomorrow night, but nothing like the amount you do during the peak.

I almost missed it. I love watching meteor showers. I would have had a good view last night too. I hope there are still some tonight.

If you read it in a book, it probably most likely stated that the shower peaks between August 9th and 12th. That's because the date changes by a few days every year.

This year's peaked early this morning. No doubt there will still be some tonight, but not as many.

I missed it last night, but it was raining anyhow (I don't think we've had a week without rain all summer). I'll be sure to go out tonight though. Last time there was a meteor shower lights from the city kind of drowned it out, but we'll see :D
