Non-school teams?

Anyone out there on a non-school hosted team? I've talked to my possible teacher advisor, and she said that there was not enough funding this year, and instead of trying to get super amounts of fundraising, I was thinking of doing a non-school team. I know that as long as you have someone (in my case, my parent) is going to be the head, and all the participating kids have to be on a team.

So any advice for someone who is gonna be on a non-school team?

P.S. This is only going to be for my junior year, apparently, they can have it my senior year.

If you go to a school, your team must be sponsored by that school (it might be a little more complicated than that, but that's the basic idea).

There are many teams with no connection to a school other than the team members are students there. All of the adult coaches/advisors are parents who have nothing to do with the school.

Talk to your principal to find out what the requirements are. You can probably form your team as long as the coach is acceptable to the school administration.

Oh, so is that how it works out? Ok then. Who would I talk with? The principal or the public school administrator?
