Posting games and the like don't count towards your total, but you can generate that number by searching your posts from your profile and checking out how many were found. For example, I have over two thousand if you count the garbage I've posted over the years. :D

I believe anything in general chat is not counted towards your post count, and everything else is? Not sure about competition forums, though.

General Chat does not count toward post count. Every other forum does (with the probable exception of team forums and such).
